Sam's Ring

The Details: 9ct Yellow Gold, Iolite and Japonese Paper sealed in Acrylic

The Story: Sam was eyeing off some silver varieties of this ring design at the markets in Canberra and decided that she would like the design in gold. She brought me a whole stack of bits and pieces from her jewellery box at home including earrings, bracelets and charms, which I melted down to re-work. After much deliberation Sam chose an Iolite from my gem box and selected this gorgeous sliver of paper. I don't think I could have designed a nicer combination of paper and gem myself! ;-)
